"Nothing's more playful than a young cat, nor more grave than an old one."

Siamese Cat Personalities
The International Cat Association describes the modern breed as social, intelligent and playful. The Siamese are very affectionate and smart cats, with distinct outgoing nature. They seek and enjoy the companionship of humans and other cats. They will often strongly bond with their favorite human. These kitties are very vocal and will demand your attention with loud, low-pitched voice. This adorable characteristic in the roots of their common nickname – Meezer.
Due to their strong desire for company, it is not rare for these cats to become lonely and depressed if left alone for long periods of time. You should keep this in mind if you're considering having a Siamese cat as a pet.
6 Personality Traits
1. They’re Very Intelligent
Siamese are one of the most intelligent cat breeds. They’re curious cats that like to explore every inch of their home. They are excellent at jumping and love heights, so you should make sure they have lots of toys to keep them occupied. Due to their intelligence, Siamese cats are very trainable, and if trained correctly, they can learn many tricks and behaviors.
2. They’re Affectionate CatsIf you want to get a cat that will love you dearly, then Siamese cats are a great choice. They are one of the few breeds that are sometimes likened to dogs due to their affectionate personalities. You should expect your Siamese cat to follow you everywhere around the house at all times and cuddle up to you in bed at night.
3. They Display Needy BehaviorDue to their affectionate tendencies, Siamese cats often become fixated on their owners, and they hate to be left alone. They have been known to suffer from depression and separation anxiety if left alone too often.
Siamese cats are so loyal to their owners that other pets (and even people) can be seen as a threat to them, creating tension and jealousy in your home.
If you don’t have any other pets, it’s a good idea to get two Siamese cats to keep each other company. But be sure to spend the same amount of time with each cat so that you avoid their overly bonded behavior.
4. They’re a Gentle BreedNot known for being aggressive, Siamese cats are gentle and loving cats, making them perfect cats for families with children. Siamese cats enjoy playing and can be a fun companion for kids, so long as you’ve taught them how to interact appropriately with others.
5. They’re Protective of Their OwnersWhile they may be loving and gentle to their owners, Siamese cats are very protective. Due to the strong bond with their owners, they will display protective behavior if they think their favorite human is being threatened.
6. They’re Incredibly TalkativeSiamese cats are not a good choice for those that want a quiet cat with a pleasant meow. These cats love to chat with their owners, and their voices are very distinct. Expect them to meow a lot and loudly. They like to follow their owners around the house and while constantly chatting to their loved ones.
